History

The Freikorps von Oven Honour Badge was likely awarded by the unit's commander, Oberst von Oven and awarded to members for faithful service. However, no information about the institution and statutes of the award as known.

The badge is vertically oval and made of hollow stamped gilt brass. It features a steel helmet in the centre with oak leaves to the sides and a ribbon above the helmet with the inscription "REGIMENT OVEN", as well as a second ribbon below the helmet with the inscription "FÜR TREUE DIENSTE" (for faithful service). Below the second ribbon is a large letter "O".
