History


The Medal was founded by Miklos Horthy to reward Hungarian citizens for meritorious service within the realm of national sports and physical education.

The ribbon of the Silver Medal may be decorated with a silver laurel wreath to demonstrate that the recipient has been awarded the medal two times.

The addition of clasps to the ribbon increases the overall cost of the medal.
