The obverse inscription of this medal translates to "National Merit for Blood," and the reverse inscription translates to "Principality of Monaco, Gift of Blood." History

The National Blood Merit Medal was established by Ordinance on July 30, 1993. It is awarded to Monegasque citizens in recognition of dedication to donating blood.

From 1993-2003, the III Class Medal was awarded for 30 donations, but since 2003, it has been awarded for 20 donations.

The III Class Medal features a portrait of Rainier III on the obverse and a drop of blood on the reverse. The obverse inscription translates to "Rainier III, Prince of Monaco," and the reverse inscription translates to "National Merit for Blood."
