History


The Commemorative Medal for the Royal Visit to the Netherlands-Antilles was established by Royal Decree in commemoration of the visit Queen Beatrix and Prince Claus paid to the Netherlands Antilles in 1980 in an effort to strengthen the ties between the two nations.

The Silver Medal features a reverse inscription that translates to "Beatrix, Queen of the Netherlands.” A total of 615 were awarded.
