History

The Prince Maurice Medal of the Royal Dutch Society "Ons Leger" was established by the Royal Dutch Society "Ons Leger" in 1935. This Society was established in 1912 to foster a connection between Dutch citizens and the Army.

It was awarded to those who made outstanding contributions to the Royal Dutch Army, to the Society, the prestige of either group, or to the education of others about Dutch military history. It is permitted for wear on military uniforms.
