Established by King Haakon VII, in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Kings succession to the throne, this Medal was conferred upon Royal Family, affiliates of the Royal Court, and foreign ambassadors in Norway, official guests at the jubilee, and members of the 1905 Government and Parliament, who were still alive at the time of the jubilee.
When conferred upon women this Medal is awarded on a bow ribbon.
This medal may also be referred to as the "Medal for 25th Reign Anniversary" as well as, the "King's Jubilee Medal".
This medal is awarded with an associated clasp that reads "1905-1930". The clasp was manufactured by J. Tostrup, in Oslo.
The design of the medal is identical to the Haakon VII's Commemorative Medal, Haakon VII's Golden Jubilee Medal (1905-1955), and Haakon VII's Centenary Medal (See NOR129, NOR131, and NOR133 respectively, in Medals & Decorations for more information on these medals), although these medals are differentiated by the clasps they are conferred with.
