History

Awarded by the Commander of His Majesty the King's Guard Army Battalion, this Medal was instituted to recognize service rendered by this Battalion, and conferred to members of the Battalion who have rendered outstanding and commendable service.

This Medal may also be known as the "Guard Medal".

The reverse of the medal is engraved with the recipients name, rank, department name, and date of conferral.

The Gold Medal has an associated gold coloured star shaped clasp on the ribbon.
