Long and Faithful Service Medal in Silver

Conferred by the Royal Society for Development, this Medal was initially conferred upon individuals who have been workers in the agricultural sector, or worked in private households as servants for 30 years of continuous service.
The recipients of the Medal were later extended to employees in industry and trades, and in commerce.
Following 1999, public sector employees were eligible to receive this Medal.
As of 2014, individuals who have retired are also eligible to receive the award, under the circumstances that they have rendered their 30 years of employment before retirement, also, civil servants do not qualify.
The reverse of the medal is engraved with the recipients name, and year of conferral.
This medal may have been previously conferred in gold at its initial institution, but is exclusively conferred in silver now.
