The burial of King Olav V took place on January 30, 1991.
The medal was conferred with an associated clasp that reads "30. JANUAR 1991."
The design of the medal is identical to the Olav V's Silver Jubilee Medal, and the Olav V's Centenary Medal (See NOR135, and NOR136, respectively, in Medals & Decorations for more information on these medals), although these medals are differentiated by the clasps they are conferred with.
