History

The British North Borneo Company General Service Medal (1937-1941) was sanctioned by the British North Borneo Company's Gazette on April 6, 1937. The Silver Medal rewards company staff, members of the constabulary, and civilians for long, meritorious and valuable service provided to North Borneo or demonstrations of exceptional courage demonstrated in North Borneo.

The Medal was not authorized for wear on uniform.
