The Ceylon Fire Brigade Long Service and Good Conduct Medal was established in 1950 to reward members of the Ceylon Fire Service for long and efficient service.

The Silver Medal is similar in design to the Ceylon Police Long Service and Good Conduct Medal but features a different inscription.

There are 2 versions of the Medal which differ by the obverse effigy of the reigning monarch.
