History


The Ceylon Police Long Service and Good Conduct Medal was established by King George V in 1925. The Silver Medal was awarded to members of the Ceylon Police in recognition of 15 years of active service. The Medal was superseded by the Colonial Police Medal in 1934.

The Medal features a reverse design of an elephant surmounted by a crown and the inscription "FOR LONG SERVICE AND GOOD CONDUCT CEYLON POLICE."
