History


The Ceylon Diamond Jubilee Medal 1897 was instituted by the government of Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) in commemoration of Queen Victoria's 60th anniversary of the accession to the throne. The Medal was awarded to local dignitaries and leading officials in the Ceylon government. The Medal was awarded in Gold and Silver.
