History


The King George V Silver Jubilee Medal 1935 was instituted to commemorate the 25th year of the reign of King George V. The Medal was widely distributed throughout Britain, Europe, and the Commonwealth to members of the royal family, state and government officials, servants of the royal household, and to members of the armed forces during the silver jubilee on May 6, 1935.

The Medal is worn by men from a ribbon on the breast and by women from a bow.
