History


The Visit to Ireland Medal 1900 was instituted by Queen Victoria in 1900 to commemorate the royal visit to Ireland in 1900. The Bronze Medal was presented to officers and men of the Royal Irish Constabulary and the Dublin Metropolitan Police who provided security and policing during the Queen's visit. It is estimated that 2 285 Medals were issued.
