The Colonial Special Constabulary Long Service Medal was established in 1957 and was awarded to members of the British overseas Special Constabulary. The Silver Medal was awarded in recognition of 9 years of unpaid or 15 years of paid service. The Medal was renamed the Overseas Service Special Constabulary Long Service Medal in 2012.

A clasp may be awarded to denote an additional 10 years of service.
