The Hong Kong District Watch Force Merit Medal was established in 1868 to reward members of the District Watch Force, a strictly Chinese police organization, for meritorious service. The Medal was discontinued in 1941 following the Japanese Invasion of Hong Kong.

The Medal features an obverse inscription of Chinese characters which translates to "Great Britain Hong Kong District Watch Force Medal.
