History

The Royal Hong Kong Regiment Disbandment Medal was established in 1995. The Silver Medal was awarded to all ranks of the Royal Hong Kong Regiment volunteers who served with the regiment before and during the disbandment of the Hong Kong crown colony in 1995. Recipients were required to privately purchase the Medal along with a miniature version.

The Medal features the Royal Hong Kong Regiment motto, "NULLI SECUNDUS IN ORIENTE," which translates to, "Second to none in the Orient."
