History

The Territorial Efficiency Medal was established in 1921 to replace the Territorial Force Efficiency Medal when the Territorial Froce was renamed the Territorial Army. The Silver Medal was awarded to members of the Territorial Army in recognition of 12 years or more of service, with service during wartime counting double. Members of the Honourable Artillery Company were awarded a Medal with a distinct ribbon. The Medal was superseded in 1930 by the Territorial Medal.
