History

The Trans-Jordan Frontier Force Long Service and Good Conduct Medal was established by King George VI by Royal Warrant on May 20, 1938. The Silver Medal was awarded to Non-Commissioned Officers and other ranks of the Trans-Jordan Frontier Force in recognition of 16 years of service. Military personnel who served in Palestine Gendarmerie or in the Arab Legion who immediately transferred to the Frontier Force were also eligible for the award. The Medal was discontinued in 1948 and only 112 awards were issued.
