History

A round disc (Armscheibe) with a Siegrune was worn by the DJ equivalent officer ranks, both non-commissioned and commissioned. It was worn on the upper left sleeve.

It is unknown when this was first introduced, but unofficially it was done before 1933. Standardization was achieved in 1935.

Jungbannführer wore a silver-coloured rune on white and piping around the outer edge in their Oberbann colour.

Jungbannführer assigned to a Gebiet wore a gold-coloured rune on bright red. Those assigned to a Gebiet Staff wore a silver-coloured rune on carmine, and those assigned to the Reichsjugendführung (RFJ) Staff wore a gold-coloured rune on carmine.

This was in effect between 1933 and 1936. In April 1936, the Oberbann system was discontinued. From then on, Jungbannführer wore a silver-coloured rune on black with silver-coloured piping around the outer edge. In contrast to most other discs, this one was worn on the lower left sleeve.

The disc had a tan square field, which was left exposed for all NCO ranks, but folded under for lesser ranks.
