History

A round disc (Armscheibe) with a Siegrune was worn by the DJ equivalent officer ranks, both non-commissioned and commissioned. It was worn on the upper left sleeve.

It is unknown when this was first introduced, but unofficially it was done before 1933. Standardization was achieved in 1935.

Obergebietsjungvolkführer wore a gold-coloured (fire gilt on original silver) rune on light red with a gold-coloured band around the outer edge.

This was in effect between 1933 and 1936. In April 1936, with the discontinuation of the Oberbann system, the arm discs of all ranks above Jungbannführer were discontinued as well. From then on, they wore the regular HJ armband instead.
