History

The swimming trunks of the Hitler Youth were introduced in a regulation from October 7, 1933. Initially, they were only worn by the members of the German Youngsters (DJ), but later by the Hitler Youth boys as well. It is unknown when this was allowed. These swimming trunks were worn by male members of the HJ while they were participating in aquatic exercising and sports events.

There were two versions. The 1st pattern was dark blue. The 2nd pattern was brown, and a cloth HJ diamond was sewn onto the right leg.
