History

The Badge was awarded to members of the National Socialist War Victim’s Care Organization or NSKOV, an organization charged with caring for veterans and fighters, who were seriously wounded in the line of duty. The Organization was particularly involved in providing care and support to those who had fought on the front line during the First World War.

There are two main versions of the badge with different designs on the badges' rim. One version features a rim design with oak leaves, and the other features a plain enamelled rim.

The badges come with a border of either white, blue, or red enamel. The meaning of the different colours has yet to be determined.
