The SS Shooting Badge was instituted by Heinrich Himmler and was worn by members of the SS to denote marksmanship qualifications.

The Sniper Badge has three oak leaves on the lower wreath in front of the target board.

The Badge was forfeited if an individual was dishonourably discharged.
