History

There is no information on the institution of this award. It was awarded with an award date of 1942 or 1943. A version for 1944 is possible, but none has yet been encountered.

The plaque is rectangular with a raised edge. It features a Luftwaffe eagle with swastika superimposed over stylised clouds, flying over a globe depicting Scandinavia, with a ray of light falling on Finland. The thick line around the upper part of the globe depicts the arctic circle. The inscription reads: for special merits / the commanding general / of Air District Staff Finland.

The award was accompanied by an awarding document.

The German title of this award is "Ehrenplakette des Luftgaustabes Finnland".
