History


The German Red Cross Sister Cross was awarded to the Nurses and Matrons of the German Red Cross in recognition of long and faithful service.

There were two models of the decoration. Model I decorations feature a red cross in the obverse medallion, while Model II decorations feature a German eagle holding a red cross in its talons in the obverse medallion.
