History


The Decoration was awarded to the Nurses and Matrons of the German Red Cross in recognition of long and faithful service.

There are two models of the decoration. The Model I decorations feature a red cross in the obverse medallion, while the Model II decorations feature a German eagle holding a red cross in its talons in the obverse medallion.
