Concordia Order, Commander Cross
Estimated market value:
This Order was founded by Grand Duke Karl Theordor of Dalberg and was conferred in recognition of outstanding merit.
The Order Statutes was first awarded in February of 1813.
The Order could only be conferred upon citizens of Frankfurt.
The Order applied the principle of exclusivity and members were not permitted to accept decorations from other Orders.
The number of living members of the Order was limited. There could only be 12 recipients of the Grand Cross, 24 recipients of the Commander Cross and 24 Knights of the Order at one time. However, the Grand Duke reserved the right to confer awards beyond this number.
Recipients of the Grand Cross and Commander Cross were granted Knighthoods, unless they were hereditary nobility.
The Order was dissolved only a year after its institution.
20 Commander Crosses were awarded.
