The County of Thurn and Taxis was state of the Holy Roman Empire in Bavaria, Germany. The capital was Regensburg. The county existed from 1608 to 1806.

The House of Thurn and Taxis was from the 16th century to the beginning from the 19th century a a key player in the postal services in Europe. Also was the family famous as the owner of breweries and builder of many castles.
