The German Confession Cross was donated by the General German People's Community ("Allgemeine Deutsche Volksgemeinschaft") in the 1920s. The cross was awarded between ca. 1920 – 1936.

The German name of the Cross is "Deutsches Bekenntnis Kreuz".

The decoration was awarded in 2 Classes: The I Class with swords on the ribbon, the II Class without. Each with different ribbons.

The cross consisting of a Cross Pattée. The obverse with black and white enameled arms shows in the central red enameled medallion bearing an inscription of “TREU DEM VATERLAND” (“FAITHFUL TO THE FATHERLAND”).

The reverse has the inscription “DEUTSCHES BEKENNTNIS KREUZ” (“GERMAN CONFESSION CROSS”).
