History

The Union Order of the United Arab Republic was established by Legislative Decree on February 16, 1958, in commemoration of the creation of the United Arab Republic through the unity between Egypt and Syria. The Order was presented to all members of the Armed Forces who served on February 1, 1958. The Order was dissolved in 1961 when Syria seceded from the union.
