History

The Endeavour (Talash) Award was established in 1946. The award is presented as a Decoration in 3 Classes as well as a Medal in 3 Classes to other ranks of the Iranian police force in recognition of exemplary service.

The III Class Medal is a triangular shape and features the Persian date of institution of the award "1325 HS" (1946 AD), the name of the granting body, the Imperial Iranian Police Force, as well as the class of medal in Persian script.

It is thought that the III Class Medal is suspended from a breast ribbon which features a pattern of 1 plum-red vertical stripe to the right against a yellow background. However, examples of other ribbon designs worn with the award are known to exist. More research is needed.
