History

The Senin Khedmat (Long Service) Award was established around 1950 to reward members of the Imperial Iranian Police Force for long and faithful service. The award was presented as a Decoration in 3 Classes to Officers and as a Medal, also in 3 Classes, to other ranks.

Officers who have provided 10 or more years of service were eligible to receive the III Class Decoration.

It is thought that distinct ribbon patterns exist to denote the Decoration Class awarded.
