The Sporting (Tarbiyat Badani) Award was established in 1952 to reward Iranian national champions for sporting achievements. The Award was presented as a Decoration in 2 Classes and as a Medal in 3 Classes. Following the Islamic Revolution in 1979, the Award was abolished.
The III Class Bronze Medal may be awarded to sporting coaches, managers of sports clubs, or other members of sports federations and boards in recognition of exemplary advancements and contributions made towards any sporting fields. Personnel who have provided general service which advances sports or the ideals of the National Iranian Association for Sports Training may also be eligible for the award of the III Class Medal.
The III Class Medal had a contingent of 15 members.
