The Medal of the Two Rivers (Nut al-Rafidain) was established in 1955 or 1956 and is associated with the Order of the Two Rivers (Wisam al-Imtiaz-i-Radiain) (see IRQ100). The Medal was awarded in 2 classes as an award for meritorious service. It is uncertain if the award of the Medal continued following the establishment if the Iraqi Republic in 1958, but more research is necessary.

The features an Arabic inscription on the reverse which translates to "Faisal II 1375AH (1955)."
