History

The Nazi-Fighter Medal was originally established in 1967 as a ribbon only award. The Medal was later instituted in 2000. The Medal is awarded to Israeli's who fought against the Nazis during the Second World War. Personnel who served in the Armed Forces of any Allied Nation, in a partisan unit, in an anti-nazi resistant group, or in the civil defence of a nation under attack by the Axis Forces are eligible for the award of the Medal.

The reverse features a Hebrew inscription which translates to "Fighter Against the Nazis-Veteran of World War II."
