The Medal of the National Guard (Midalat al-Haras al-Wataniya) was instituted by King Abdullah I in June of 1940. The Medal was awarded to members of the Jordanian National Guard in recognition of loyal and distinguished service.

The obverse features an inscription in Arabic, translated as "Arab Legion" and "The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan". The reverse features an inscription in Arabic, translated as "The National Guard" and "If God supports you, none will defeat you".
