The Medal of Ene Danky was established by Presidental Law on April 16, 1996. The Medal is awarded to Kyrgyzstan mothers in recognition who have given birth to and raised 9 children, with the ninth child being at least 1 year old. Women who have provided 15 years of qualifying service in teaching or educating disabled or orphaned children and women who have provided 20 years of charitable service towards the protection of motherhood and childhood are also eligible for the award of the Medal.
The Medal features a Cyrillic inscription on the obverse which translates to "Kyrgyz Respublikasy Baatyr Ene Ene Danky."
