The Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (Midal al-Khidmat al-Saluk al-Tawilat wa Hasan) was instituted by Sultan Said bin Taimur in 1960. The Medal is awarded to members of the Omani Armed Forces in recognition of 12 years or more of long service and good conduct.

The obverse features an inscription in Arabic which translates to "Sultan Qaboos bin Said Sultan of Oman". The reverse features an inscription in Arabic, translated as "For Long Service."

There may be an additional, earlier version of the Medal manufactured prior to 1972 which varies in design.
