The Sultan's Bravery Medal (Midal Jura'at us-Sultan ul-Battuli) was established by Sultan Said bin Taimur in January, 1968. The Medal was created to reward acts of bravery and distinguished conduct in the face of the enemy.

A clasp is authorized to wear on the ribbon to denote subsequent acts of qualifying service.

The reverse features an Arabic inscription which translates to "Bravery."

Recipients of the Medal are entitled to the post-nominal letters "WB."
