History

The Order of Achievement (Wisam al-Amajat) was established by sultan Qaboos on November 18th, 1995, in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Sultan's accession to the throne. The Order is conferred in 3 Classes plus a Special Class Collar in recognition of outstanding achievements in all fields.

The I Class is conferred upon generals in recognition of 25 years of service prior to the institution date of the award.
