History


The Military Appreciation Medal was instituted by King Faisal idn Abdulaziz by Council of Ministers Decisions on March 20, 1971. The Medal is issued in 3 Grades to members of the Saudi Arabian army, national guard, and public security forces in recognition of outstanding service. Personnel who incurred grave wounds whilst serving in the line of duty may also be eligible for the award of the Medal.

The III Class is composed of bronze and is awarded enlisted personnel.

The Medal features an Arabic inscription on the obverse which translates to "Military Appreciation."
