History

The Collar of the Order of Abdulaziz Al Saud was established by King Fahad bin Abdulaziz by Royal Decree in 1976.

The Order is conferred to non-Muslim heads of state who have rendered important or exceptional service to the Saudi State. The Collar is believed to be separate from the Order of Abdulaziz Al Saud (see SAU102), but may also be presented as the highest rank of the Order of Abdulaziz Al Saud. More research is necessary.

The Collar is thought to be awarded with a Breast Star.

The Collar Badge features Arabic script on the obverse which translates to "Faisal bin Abdul Aziz" and "Pioneer of Islamic Solidarity."
