History

The Medal of the Valiant Border Guard of Tajikistan (Marzboni Shuchoi Tochikiston) is believed to be awarded to border troops and other members of the Tajikistan Armed Forces or citizens of Tajikistan in recognition of acts of bravery and special merits provided towards the protection of the frontiers of the Republic of Tajikistan. Other acts of bravery and selflessness, high vigilance, and meritorious service towards capturing offenders of the frontier or for active assistance to border troops is also eligible for the award. However, more research is necessary to confirm.
