History

This Medal is conferred upon members of the New South Wales Police in recognition of 10 years of service. It may also be posthumously awarded to Officers who die with less than 10 years of service. A clasp is awarded for each additional 5 years of service.

The obverse of the medal features NSW state emblem, an eagle carrying a scroll of Nemesis in its talons. The inscription ‘NSW POLICE DILIGENT AND ETHICAL SERVICE’ runs along the edge of the obverse. The reverse of the medal is blank and will be pantographed with the recipient’s name. The Crown of St. Edward surmounts the medal and attaches to a ribbon suspension bar. The ribbon has alternating stripes of white and blue.
