History

On April 12, 1976, this Order was reorganized into a single class decoration.

It was conferred upon Non-Commissioned Officers and personnel of the Moroccan Armed Forces and Police Force for acts of gallantry during war. It was also awarded to General Officers, who had previously received the Order of the Throne, for outstanding leadership during war.
