Physical Description

The Grand Cross consists of a five-pointed silver star, with obverse centrepiece in bronze featuring the emblem of the Chilean Army.

History

Established by President Sebastian Pinera Echenique, this medal is awarded to recognize representatives of the Chilean Army who have supported the effort of the Army with notable actions.

The Grand Cross is awarded to Military and civil personnel, Chilean and foreign, in recognition of their zeal and promotion of the principles of the Chilean Army.
