Physical Description


The II Class consists of a ball-tipped five-armed cross with multiple rays in each arm, the obverse centre features a partially enameled Chilean national shield, on an enameled white background. It is suspended by a solid blue breast ribbon.

History


The Decoration for Military Merit is awarded to civilians who has contributed to Chile while working for the Chilean armed forces. It may be awarded to foreigners as well.

The II Class. a.k.a Military Merit Decoration, is awarded by the Ministry of Defense to those civilians who has served the Armed forces for 20 years.
