Physical Description

The Medal consists of a multi-rayed eight-pointed in gilt, the obverse featuring an emblem of the Ministry of National Defense on a red and blue enameled background. The Medal is surmounted by a laurel wreath.

History

The Medal of the General Staff of the National Defense is awarded to foreigners either civilians or military personnel who have served with merit to the Ministry of National Defense. It is also awarded to nationals who have contributed to missions abroad.

The Medal is suspended by a solid blue neck ribbon.
